DESPERATE MEASURES

Our governments are trying measures that show how desperate they are for revenues. Rather than doing what they should do, cutting their budgets, they look for new sources of tax revenues. Where do tax revenues come from? They come from the earnings of workers. The government has become a parasite and is intent on destroying its’ host to keep its’ life going. The government has no ability of sustaining itself except through tax receipts. Taxes can take on many forms including the hidden tax of inflation.

Politicians are not trained economists, so they pass policies that are not going to work in the real world. Their policies are based upon fantasy. Tax policies totally ignore any economic laws. Politicians mantra is "there are no absolutes," and thus, no economic laws. Contrary to politicians’ beliefs, economic laws exist and they are inelastic. God governs the world by cause and effect and no tax policy can overcome it. No matter how much money the government prints, it does not solve economic problems. Printing more money only makes things worse.

This is because politicians have been trained in idolatry which means their education is effect based. Their education is dead and false. A piece of paper does not educate anyone. It is easier for these dolts to stick a gun in our belly and demand tax payments than to try figure out the real function of government. The reason that governments are so tax revenue hungry is because government is involved in things that are not a function of government, namely education, health care, etc.

When group thinking takes over there is a loss of individual responsibility. Government is limited when people take responsibility for their individual actions. People look to the government to take care of them rather than them taking care of themselves. People have given up on being responsible along time ago. An example of giving up on individual responsibility is the playing of state lotteries.

An Associated Press article on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 begins with "Facing serious budget shortfalls, states could rake in an additional $14 billion if they tweak their lottery programs, according to an industry report released Tuesday." Who are the people who play the lottery? Those who do not understand anything about economics. More poor people play the lotteries than do the rich. Instead of trying to build something, these dolts believe that they can get rich without doing anything but pay a few dollars for a lottery ticket. The odds are against them, but this does not stop them from gambling. The lottery causes a gambling addiction among its players. Lotteries are opposed to productive work. Lotteries encourage indolence rather than productiveness. It is obvious that our government is against all economic law.

This article proves how desperate governments have become. They will legalize any vice if they can get revenues from it. All this leads into one direction, death. Theology matters and the theology of government is based upon policies of death, not life. Lottery playing is the opposite of economic growth. Lotteries are economically unproductive. They provide no capital for future economic growth. Those who play lotteries are present oriented and thus lower class.

THE BANANA REPUBLIC

When theology moves from spirituality to idolatry, the consequences are always the same, it is a regression into the void. Idolatry is the worship of the physical creation. The Second Commandment forbids the worship of the creature and yet when man rejects God’s law, he will automatically begin to worship what he can see with his physical eyes and not the one who has created the visible world. When a nation becomes idolatrous be assured that anything resembling intelligence has been jettisoned.

An idolater is incapable of understanding the law of cause and effect and yet God has established this world and governs this world on the basis of causality. Ethical cause and effect is the only way to make progress. An idolater is regressive. Idolaters are headed in one direction, death. Paul expressed such in 1 Thessalonians 1:9, "For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God." If God is true and living, then it follows that idols are dead and false.

Idolatry is dead and false, by definition. Any policy that is based on idolatry is false and leads to death. Debt is death. Savings is life. This is why capitalism is Christian based because Christianity is about life. God is life. Satan is death. Going in debt is the selling of your life. Paul wrote in Romans 13:8, "Owe no man anything..." Do not go into debt Paul is saying because to do so is to give away your life.

"Under the plan, GM would file for prearranged bankruptcy, the report said, and would then use a sale authorized under Section 363 of the U.S. bankruptcy code to sell off desirable assets to a new company financed by the government," is an article carried by Reuters on April Fool’s Day 2009. A new company financed by the government? Say what? This means that the government has nationalized the auto industry. This is what third world countries do, they nationalize their industries.

First of all, it is not a function of the government to lend money to any business. It is not the function of the government to finance and form a new company. The sole function of the government is law enforcement. Economics is out of bounds for the government with the exception of enforcement of contracts. The Obama administration is headed in the direction of death. Death to the dollar and all viable businesses. Propping up a money losing company like GM is the height of stupidity and is a bad investment.

What Obama does not understand about economics is that the consumer will ultimately decide whether or not GM stays in business. The law of supply and demand still operates no matter what the government seeks to do. Obama cannot overcome this law because it is established in the fabric of the creation. It is also spiritual and an idolater is hopeless to stop anything spiritual because they cannot see it. Welcome to the Banana Republic.

CONFUSING IMPORTANCE

We currently live in a world characterized by a reversal of importance. What is important is not and what is marginal is considered important. This makes the words of the Lord Jesus Christ so true as found in Matthew 23:24, "Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel." We are living in a world of a reversal of cause and effect. A gnat is a small animal in comparison to a camel. These people are zealous for small unimportant things. When it comes to important things, they disregard them as trivial.

There are only two ways of thinking, spiritually and physically. Time after time in the Bible, the spiritual come into conflict with the physically oriented. The physically oriented have only one way of dealing with things, through physical force. They lack the ability to think their way through anything. When they cannot win an argument, which they are never able to do, they will immediately try to resort to physical force. This proves that they lack any ability to think. Their reasoning is the reasoning of an animal.

Reversing cause and effect has consequences. What is wrong is elevated in the place of what is right. Rather than rewarding those who do good, the evil receive what they do not deserve, blessing. This especially takes place through the civil government. Our civil government is attempting to create a sanctionless society. If you are the right company and you fail, you get the blessing of the Federal Government giving you taxpayer money to bail you out. These companies are assured of failure and are propped up to waste more resources.

We are living in an atheistic society. Man has replaced God. Man considers himself to be transcendent. In hierarchal terms, this elevates animals to the place where man is to be, under God. In some circles, animals are placed on the same level as man and in the environmental movement animals are revered and considered more important than man. The environmental movement hates man and love animals.

A recent AP article’s headline reads, "Don’t deny health care to pets because of worries about how to pay for it." This article tells how a woman spent $6,000 for her dog’s heart problem. This woman is clearly out of her mind. No animal is worth spending $6,000 on. Animals do not live for very long. The point is that this dog is going to die. If a vet told me it would cost $6,000 to save an animal, I would know that the Vet is out of his mind.

I can hear most women and feminist men telling me that I do not care about animals. I have three cats and a dog and we feed the neighborhood cats. I believe that you should care for animals but there comes a point when the decision is easy to make. Fido has lived a good life and it is his time to pass from this world. A pet is replaceable. Human life is not. These same people who would do anything to save an animal’s life, usually are in favor of abortion. They worship the creature more than the Creator because they are idolaters.

RESULTS OF PHYSICAL OBSERVATION

It is amazing how entrenched stupidity is in America. Stupidity can only thrive when protected by the civil government’s guns. Yet, this stupidity is hailed as wisdom. We are living in an age when evil is good and good is evil. We are living in an age when cause and effect have been reversed. If you fail, you get the positive sanction of being bailed out. If you are successful you get cursed by having to pay for those who have failed. The productive are penalized for being successful, while the loser gets handouts. This is the height of stupidity.

How did we arrive at this point? It is the received faith. The received faith as taught in the established church of America, the government schools, is a causeless universe. The received faith does not believe in causes, just effects. This is because causes are spiritual and therefore, invisible and cannot be observed by the natural eye. All that these graduates of the government school system are taught is to judge everything according to what they can see physically. If they cannot see it physically, in their mind, it does not exist. Since they cannot see God, he therefore cannot exist.

Despite their stupidity, their beliefs have consequences. The atheist or idolater does not believe in consequences because they do not believe in cause and effect, especially ethical cause and effect. In their mind, if there is no God, there cannot be any law that governs the world. The idolater and the antinomian agree together, God’s law does not exist. The atheist and the Baptist agree together, no God’s law. However, if there is no God’s law, then there is no God.

The more government educated an individual is the more stupidity they will demonstrate. One of the top classes of educated fools are scientists. Most scientists are dependent on extracted wealth to perform their trade of foolishness. One of the biggest wastes of tax money is NASA. What is the purpose of NASA? So man went to the moon. Now what? I believe the whole purpose of space exploration is to try and find life on other planets. Let me help them out, life does not exist on other planets. This makes NASA just a huge waste of tax money. It gives jobs to people who can’t compete in the market.

An Associated Press article about science has the following headline, "Climate change effects seen in Antarctic winds." Two words are key in this headline, effects seen. This means that those who are commenting on some supposed climate change are dealing with evidence that can be seen with their physical eyes. This means that any cause is wholly left out. This is because these scientists do not and cannot think in terms of cause and effect. They are effect based solely in their thinking. This means that they lack understanding which makes any observation they make doltish.

Rutgers University marine scientist Martin Montes-Hugo made the following statement, "These phytoplankton changes may explain in part the observed decline of some penguin populations." First, it must be pointed out that Hugo works for a university which means that his salary is paid for by taxpayers. He is insulated from the market where his stupidity would be exposed for what it is and his source of funding would dry up. Secondly, his words prove that he thinks in terms of effects only. He does not consider causes because he is mentally incapable. In other words, he is a mental midget.

"Observed decline" are the operative words. The observation he is talking about is through his physical eyes. This means that he denies any spiritual reality. His conclusions have consequences. Based upon his animalistic assumptions, he will call for the government to try to reduce what are known as greenhouse gases. According to these dolts, greenhouse gases come from the burning of fossil fuels i.e., oil and gas.

The progress of our economy is dependent upon oil. These mindless scientists do not understand the ramification of their conclusions. They want the government to spend money on fictional alternative energy. There is no need to develop alternative energy sources while there is plenty of oil available. I do not trust any scientist’s conclusions. Their starting point is flawed and therefore, by definition, any conclusion they come up will be flawed because the conclusion is devoid of cause. When cause is not part of a conclusion, the conclusion will be stupidity right out in the open.

RESPONDING IN THE VISIBLE

It should be obvious that the world leaders do not have a clue on how to solve the worldwide financial crisis. Anyone that puts their faith in these leader’s decisions will BE sadly disappointed by the result. This is because government leaders do not have clue as to what the cause of the financial crisis is. What gets the blame is rogue financiers, when in reality the Central Banks and fractional reserve banking are to blame.

The government’s primary function is law enforcement and justice. This means that the government’s primary function is negative. Law enforcement takes place in the visible world of effects. Government can never stop the spiritual which precedes the visible world of effects. Government’s response to any and every situation will remain the same, increasing regulation of the financial industry as if they had not been regulating it to death to begin with.

The government responds negatively by trying to gain control of effects, ignoring the spiritual cause of the crisis. The government is thus by nature reactive and not proactive. The government can only act when something has been done. No one is to be arrested for murder until they actually commit the murder. Thoughts about murder are not able to be prosecuted without corresponding actions.

Not understanding government’s role as being negative in application leads to the false belief that government can solve problems and crisis. They are incapable by definition. It should be obvious that the government should not be involved in the market (which is spiritual i.e. subjective choices) unless to enforce contracts and prosecute fraud. Outside of this function, the result of government intervention in the market will be a negative effect upon an economy and will inhibit an economic recovery.

The German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to see "the establishment of a global governance structure." (AP News). This is an attempt by governments to gain control of something over which they have no control. In other words, her words shows how desperate governments are in this worldwide financial crisis. They are wanting to gain control over something that they will never be able to control no matter how many regulations they come up with.

The new structural system is one of decentralization. Centralization is passe. It belongs to a bygone era of museum pieces. The establishment is attempting the impossible of trying to keep control. Self government and personal responsibility are the wave of the future. Limited government is the new watchword. A return to absolutes is the future trend. Visible control is negative. We need something positive. This will be provided by a decentralized system of personal responsibility.

NOTHING INTERESTING

I enjoy reading the newspaper. I am looking for specific things when reading it. I read the Letters to the Editor section religiously. I am interested in seeing what other people think who are not apart of the media. Even though these people have an agenda, they do not realize that they are echoing what the news media has programmed them to write. Some think independently, but they are a small minority. Occasionally, I will read an editorial only if I find the topic interesting. I avoid most editorials because all that they are for is more government control of our lives and I vehemently oppose more government control.

Since Obama has become President, the news has become so boring. The news media will never criticize this idiot. The media will spin it as though this dolt knows what he is doing, when he has no plan and is making up everything as he goes along. It is obvious that Obama and his advisors do not understand economics, if they did they would realize that increasing government spending is the last thing you should do in the midst of an economic crisis.

The stimulus plan of Obama is simply to increase government control over all facets of life. This means that any news story about Obama will always be the same, increasing government control. So what else is new? This makes the news wholly predictable. For the next four years, all that we will be hearing about is how the government must do everything. It is all a guise to eventually increase taxes. The people must be softened up and then they will be more willing to pay more taxes.

The deficits that Obama will run will assure that taxes will have to be increased. Isn’t that a shocker? Essentially, Obama has bankrupted the government. What Obama cannot prevent is the market doing what it is going to do. This is because the market is invisible and cannot be controlled. The market is the subjective values of a population. As time moves forward, a decentralization is taking place and the government has yet to get the memo. So has most of the electorate. The days of government control are beginning to end. This is the government’s last gasp at trying to gain total control. It will fail.

Does it make sense to read reports about failure? I believe in success. I love to read accounts of what brings about success. Why should I waste my valuable time reading about how to fail? Only a stupid person would do such. There are plenty of takers on that accord. This is because these inane people have no idea what true success is. Likes beget likes. Failure begets failure and success begets success. Obama is a failure and all of his policies bear the same imprint.

What would make for interesting reading is budget cuts. This is music to my ears. All that gets cut is marginal. If it can be cut, then it should not have been there in the first place. It is an extra layer of fat that has nothing to do with the essential operation of an entity. The government has so much fat that it is going to take draconian cuts just to get down to the lean meat. Let the cutting begin.

NO SYMPATHY

Under normal circumstances, we have like feelings for people who have suffered from something that was beyond their control or from some accident. A recent example was a mechanic at an auto repair shop. A gas tank exploded when a drop light accidently hit the floor and ignited the gas, the mechanic suffered burns and had to be flown to a burn unit in Nashville, Tennessee.

This is an unfortunate situation, this mechanic and his family have our sympathy and prayers. We would want others’ sympathy if we found ourselves in a similar situation. We can place ourselves in this unfortunate man’s situation. We know that this man may or may not recover enough to go back to being a mechanic. His future hangs in the balance. It will take time for his situation to work out.

Sympathy is a relational emotion. We can relate to those who are in a given distressing situation. However, sympathy cannot be given out indiscriminately. Sympathy should only be given to those who deserve it. Not everyone deserves our sympathy. Sympathy is something that should be given based upon someone’s character. While I am not aware of the mechanic’s character, we know that he was gainfully employed as a mechanic when this accident occurred. He was not involved in any immoral trade. He was doing what he should be doing, if physically able, working for a living.

The same sympathy cannot be given to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who recently had pancreatic cancer surgery. Her decisions as a Supreme Court Justice have life and death consequences. Since she is a sinner, her decisions will be in favor of death. She is a staunch supporter of a woman’s right to abortion and she believes that abortion should be based not on privacy (Roe v. Wade), but rather on equality. Ginsburg has declared open season on the unborn. She puts the power of death in the hands of the abortion doctor when she has the power to strip these murderers of their ability to slaughter the defenseless.

She also voted with the majority in the Lawrence v. Texas case which overturned state sodomy laws. This has enabled the reproductive dead to come out in clear daylight to ply their wickedness. Abortion and homosexuality both have this in common, death. Since the spiritual precedes the visible, it is obvious the spiritual condition of Ginsburg. She is in favor of death at every turn. This is because she is spiritually dead.

Should Ginsburg die from pancreatic cancer, I will shed no tears. I have no sympathy for this woman’s situation. She is a murderer and murderers do not deserve sympathy but disdain. She will pass from this world because death in inevitable and when she does, the world will be a better place because a murderer will have died. Ginsburg is not wise enough to know that pancreatic cancer is minor compared to the eternal punishment she will be suffering and deservingly so.

SIGNS OF REGRESSION

We are living in a regressive age. It is pointed out continually that we are progressing by popular culture. The question becomes progressing to what? No answer. It is a deafening silence because the popular pundits have no idea. Progression for them is to allow all that was unallowable in the past. They call this advancement when in reality it is the opposite. They are not aware of how far they are drifting from the ethical shore.

This makes sense considering that the dominant ethics of our day is pragmatism. Pragmatism recognizes no absolute truth. Not recognizing any absolute truth means that the individual decides what is truth for him. Pragmatism operates in the immediate moment based upon the situation and can be classified as situation ethics. Pragmatism is the religion of flux. No absolutes leads philosophically in one direction, crisis. Pragmatism engenders instability. As the prophet Isaiah put it in Isaiah, "There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked."

With the passage of time, a culture should be progressing ethically. When this is not the case, it is obvious what the cause is. There has been a change in direction ethically speaking. There are only two belief systems in the world. One believes in absolutes that is in unchanging standards and the other believes in no absolutes or continuously changing standards. One is progressive and the other is regressive. One is life giving and the other is headed for death.

I watched a video about skin art (tattoos) in the Super Bowl. They were showing football players who had tattoos. Some of these players were covered with tattoos. One player had a tattoo on his neck. These players are proud of their tattoos and are not ashamed to show them off. Every player in the video showing their tattoos is black. This does not mean that white players do not have tattoos because some do, but this video used only black players.

Are tattoos art and do they have any ethical significance? Leviticus 19:28 reads, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD." Ethically, tattoos are outlawed by the law of God. This is an unchanging standard. Therefore to deviate from this standard is to regress ethically. The acceptance of tattoos in our culture is a sign that our culture has regressed in its ethics, not progressed.

Tattooing is symptomatic of an ethical decline in culture. Tattooing is an effect, not a cause. It is what we see. The cause is underlying, but is shows itself in the tattoo itself. It used to be only a few people had tattoos. Now, the number of people with tattoos has increased dramatically. It seems as if the majority of people now have them. Tattooing has become mainstream. When this occurred, it was obvious that an ethical regression had occurred.

CONFIRMING THE UNCONFORMABLE

One of the roles of a minister is prophetic. A prophetic ministry has nothing to do with predicting the future as most believe. A prophetic ministry has to do with ethics. The prophetic minister realizes that the world is governed by ethical cause and effect. The future predicted by a prophet is one of God’s impending judgment. A prophet is called to try and get people to amend their ways so that God’s judgement does not fall. A prophet’s ministry is a no win situation. Very few will listen and judgment comes.

The prophet’s vindication is I told you so. It is amazing how people begin to listen when judgment comes, never before. This is because the vast majority of people think only about the short term and never about the future consequences of their actions. It takes a crisis to get these people’s attention. Once the crisis passes, these people return to their former ways. They never learn from their past behavior. They are headed for the next crisis.

Throughout history, the predominate ethical standards have been non existent. Most ethical systems have been anti-ethical. Anti-ethics is enforceable only at the end of a gun. Situation ethics only works when physical force is used. Otherwise, situation ethics will fail because they do not conform to the way that the world works. It is obvious that the vast majority of men do not understand absolutes. If they did, absolutes would predominate, not randomness.

The Senate has confirmed a known tax evader, Timothy Geithner, to be Treasury Secretary. As Treasury Secretary, Geithner will be the head of the Internal Revenue Service. His choice by Obama demonstrates that a person’s ethics are of no consequence. Geithner said that his failure to pay self employment taxes was an oversight. Hardly, it was intentional. I agree with what Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia said in an Associated Press article, "Had he not been nominated for treasury secretary, it’s doubtful that he would have ever paid these taxes."

What Senator Byrd said is true. Geithner only paid these taxes when Obama chose him for Treasury Secretary. There was a realization that these unpaid taxes would become an issue that could prevent his confirmation. These unpaid social security taxes were from 2001 to 2003. Geithner paid these taxes in late 2008. There is a five year gap. It should be obvious that he was not going to pay these taxes, if he could get away with it. He is a tax evader.

Our Treasury Secretary is a tax evader. This demonstrates that Obama has no concern over ethics. Obama is ethically challenged. He has none. His choice for Treasury Secretary demonstrates this fact. If you or I would have tried to evade our taxes, we would be thrown in jail. This is another reason not to trust our government. A tax evaders has been promoted to a Cabinet level position. This is typical with this new administration. In other words, get used to it.

WHITE GUILT DAY

History is being made daily. The question becomes who decides what is historical and what is not. Historical data must be interpreted. The historian’s perspective will color his interpretation of the data. There is no neutrality in interpretation. The historian may try to objective, but the choice of data demonstrates the historian’s subjective bias. It would be refreshing if people would admit that we all are biased.

It is claimed that the Civil War was fought over the issue of slavery. This is incorrect. In my opinion, the Civil War was a power struggle between the Federal and State governments. The war was one of sovereignty. The states of the South wanted to be able to make their own determinations apart from the Federal government. One of those determinations was the owning of slaves.

The Civil War is referred to as the war between the states. This is also a misnomer. It was a war between Federal forces and southern state forces. This war was fought between the years of 1861 and 1865. We are now in the year 2009 of our Lord or 144 years later. There is not one person alive today that lived during that time period. There is no living eyewitness to the events of that war. So, we are dependent upon historians for our information.

January 19, 2009 is Martin Luther King’s Day. It is a Federal holiday. It is for me just another day. It has no significance whatsoever. Not because I am a racist. Martin Luther King’s Day and the civil rights movement promote racism and continue to divide this nation. Civil rights legislation has done nothing to move black people out of slavery. Slavery, while not as overt, still exists among the black population of America.

Affirmative action, quotas, welfare, rent controls, minimum wage laws etc. all take away the initiative of people to better their situation. Instead of earning their way through life, they want entitlements backed by the Federal government’s guns. This keeps the black people in a form of slavery. They are no longer in slavery to Southern plantation owners, but to the Federal government. This is why they almost exclusively vote for Democrats. Democrats want to enslave all men to the power of the civil government.

Why is there a Martin Luther King’s Day when his legacy was the promotion of racism? The answer is white guilt. There are those who believe that white’s should atone for the supposed sins of their forefathers. One of the ways these craven individuals seek to assuage their guilt over slavery of the past is to honor King by making his birthday a national holiday. This makes them feel better about themselves. They will also join in celebrations giving an outward show of unity.

There are those who do not believe in entitlements and refuse to be enslaved by the Federal government. So on this Martin Luther King Day, I am going to do the opposite of taking off this day, I am going to go to work. I know that there are no free lunches and that the Federal government does not owe me a living. Skin color does not matter. Performance is what will get you where you need to go.

WHERE IS THE INCENTIVE?

Once a government agency is created, it will fight to keep receiving budget dollars. As with all government solutions to an issue, more money will be needed to correct the problem that never gets solved. If government really wanted to solve most problems, they would get out of the way. Government many times does not want to solve problems but gain more control over a nation. Unfortunately, there are many who think they are helping. They are helping to perpetuate bureaucratic control.

There are only two ways of viewing any issue. One is based solely on effects or the visible world and the other is to think in terms of cause and effect. The vast majority of people have been trained to think only in terms of effects. For instance, they see a homeless man and think something ought to be done so that this man has a home. They never ask the question of why this man is homeless. In other words, they are not capable of thinking in terms of cause. Thinking about causality is what will solve the issue of homelessness.

The Appalachian Regional Coalition on Homelessness is seeking volunteers to do a HUD mandated count of Northeast Tennessee’s homeless. This mandated count is designed to provide Federal Government grants to end chronic homelessness in the United States. The Johnson City Press provides the following quote from Dreama Shreve, director of ARCH’s Homeless Information System, "What the point-in-time counts means to the local community is money. Every grant awarded to the local service agencies by HUD requires specific data supported by data gathered in the annual surveys. Northeast Tennessee will miss out on the those grants without it."

Well there it is. Shreve’s job depends on counting homeless people. What is well known about government agencies is that the majority money expended goes to administration, not to the intended recipients. The government is a poor employer because they are looking for free labor to conduct this homeless count. Of course, Shreve is going to make sure that this survey is put in the newspaper. She is getting free advertising so that she and this government agency keep their jobs.

The homeless are comprised principally of men. The main reason why they are homeless is because they are lazy. They do not want to work and since they are manipulators, they manipulate the gullible into giving them shelter, clothing, and food. Shelters and soup kitchens enable these men to continue their chosen homeless lifestyle. Biblical charity is personal and short term. Any organization that keeps feeding the same people day in and day out is not doing them any favors. Instead of creating independence, they create a dependence.

This upcoming count will do nothing to prevent or solve chronic homelessness. In fact, what will happen as a result of this count will be that homelessness will increase. This increase in the homeless will result in more money being granted to Northeast Tennessee and so the cycle goes on and on. Who pays for these lazy men? You and I do through our taxes. Isn’t it time to cut off the funds to this government agency and the lazy?

LAWLESS CULTURE

Some cultures never get it no matter where they are. You can take someone and put them in a new environment and their behavior remains the same because environments do not change the hearts of people. When it is proved over a period of time that behavior is consistent, the analysis will be that those traits are a firm part of that particular culture. Most cultures are known for their exhibited traits.

There are only two ways of living life, with absolutes and without them. Someone who lives according to absolutes will realize the necessity of living according to a standard. Others do not believe that there are any established standards and are therefore relegated to living their lives based upon impulse. The one is future oriented and the other is present oriented. Cultures will demonstrate either one of these orientations. We are living in a day and age characterized with being present oriented. This will have adverse consequences.

Someone who is present oriented disregards the future consequences of his behavior. It is obvious that he is oblivious to the negative consequences that await him. If he weighted the costs, he would not do something that is not in his best interest. He is incapable and unwilling to think beyond the immediate moment. He like an animal acts upon impulse. The result is chaos and lawlessness.

A recent study made by Northeastern University says that murders among black youths is on the increase. The study showed that in 2007, 426 black males between ages 14 and 17 were killed by gun crimes. This is a 40% increase from 2000. An estimated 964 of the same age group committed murders in 2007 which is a 38% increase from 2000. What gets the blame for these increases? The Bush Administration does because it cut grants to local police and juvenile crime prevention programs. No blame is given to those who are responsible, the lawless black culture.

This study is designed to increase government intervention and control. One thing that would
help in this situation is to abolish the minimum wage laws. These 14 to 17 year olds are shut out of the job market by the minimum wage laws. Instead of being occupied by working, these young men are employed by gangs. They run drugs for older men. The reason for the increase is the turf wars between competing gangs. Their behavior is negative rather than positive.

What is needed in this situation is not more government regulation, but more opportunities for these young men to work. They must be shown that work is more profitable than being in a gang and dying young. These young men are unemployable because they any lack working skills.
Employers are not going to overpay for unskilled labor. If they were able to get work at the
market price, it would keep them doing something constructive, not destructive. This solution is completely lost on those who conducted the Northeastern study. It never dawned on them because they are unable to think in terms of causes. Rather, they can only go by what they see with their physical eyes. Their solution will not stop this violence. This is another wasteful study.
